Several years ago Ed and I took our first dental mission trip to Belize. Each morning began with singing, sharing a morning devotional and prayer on a beautiful pier over the Caribbean Sea at sunrise. I immediately took to a new favorite song, “Emmanuel.” Take a minute. Close your eyes; pretend you’re on that pier this very moment. Feel the warm breeze blowing into your face and think about Emmanuel being right there with you. Sing the song, “Emmanuel, Emmanuel, His name is called Emmanuel; God with us, revealed in us; His name is called
Emmanuel.”
Not just at Christmas – not just at Easter – not just at church – God is with us every minute of every day. So
every day, please take a moment to stop, feel that warm breeze blowing in your face, and thank the Lord for each and every blessing He has given to you. We are truly blessed. Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday, Jesus!
